The book series Keeper of the Lost Cities has become popular with many student readers. Written by Shannon Messenger, the fantasy series follows a girl who discovers she has special abilities and belongs in a different world. The books mix adventure, mystery, and friendship. Hannah Malec shared her thoughts about the series.
“I really love Keeper of the Lost Cities and it’s really a fun book and sometimes you have to read over again because if you read it too fast it could be confusing,” Malec said. She also recommends the series to others. “I would recommend this to a lot of people who like mysteries and twists and turns. Like I said, it’s a really fun book and just makes you want to read more and more.”
Another student, Vivian Sfarra, also enjoys the series.
“I like Keeper of the Lost Cities because I think it really has a lot of details too and it keeps me wanting to read and find out what happens next,” Sfarra said. She explained how she became interested in the books. “I got into reading this mainly because I saw a lot of my friends read it and say it was really good, but I also thought that it would be a book that I like because I read the blurb on the back and it has a lot of details and things that I would like in a book.”
Many students say they enjoy Keeper of the Lost Cities because it combines fantasy and mystery. The series includes detailed settings, surprising events, and characters who face challenges and make important choices. Readers often say the books keep them interested and excited to find out what happens next.
