J.K. Rowling is the author of the Harry Potter series. There’s a total of seven books.

Harry Potter’s and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first book in a series by J.K. Rowling, was published in the U.S. in 1997. The series remains very popular today.

“I liked all the twists and turns,” said Miranda Gray, a fifth grader.

Since the first book, Rowling has published six more, all about an orphaned boy who enrolls in a school of wizardry. Harry Potter, the main character, learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts his magical world. The books were made into movies.

“The movie and the book were pretty much in sync,” Gray said “The movie was just breathtaking when I first watched it in kindergarten.”

According to an online encyclopedia called Britannica, the Harry Potter series is available to read in more than 200 countries around the world.

Theo Duffy is a current a fifth-grader at Patrick M. Villano Elementary School and will be working as a reporter for The Villano View this year. This is his first year with The Villano View, and when Duffy grows up he either wants to be an architect or a construction worker. Duffy enjoys doing gymnastics, hanging out with his friends and family, and playing video games like Roblox, MlB The Show 23, and Fortnite.

Carter Ostroff is a fifth grader at Patrick M. Villano eSchool. This year, Ostroff is working as a reporter for The Villano View. This is his first year participating in The Villano View. When Ostroff grows up, he wants to be an engineer or a major league baseball player. Ostroff loves to play chess and baseball. He enjoys hanging with family and friends and likes to play with his dog, Bailey.
