Villano View reporters are preparing for an upcoming field trip to Sky Zone in Allendale, New Jersey, on May 28. Students will leave school about 11:15 a.m. and spend most of the afternoon at the indoor trampoline park. Many students said they are excited about the trip and are looking forward to spending time with their classmates.
“I am very excited to go to Sky Zone for this field trip because I’ve been to Sky Zone before, and it is really fun. My favorite part, probably going to Sky Zone, is bouncing on the trampolines and flying high up into the air,” Riya Shah, a fifth-grader, said.
Students attending the trip will be required to follow safety rules, including wearing the grippy socks provided by Sky Zone. The newspaper club’s evergreen fundraiser in the fall paid for each student’s admission and busing to Sky Zone. This is a team-building trip for the Villano View.
“I’m so happy that we are going to Sky Zone! It’s very cool that we get to go as a group for Villano View. I’m most excited to jump on the trampolines, but it will be interesting to get to go there for a class trip,” Molly Lucas, a fifth-grader, said.
Some students said they are both excited and nervous about some of the activities.
“Yes, I’m really excited to go up to Sky Zone,” Emanuel Fang said. “I’m probably going to find like a place where I can fall off really high and then get really scared, but I’m pretty excited to go on the trip, but I do have a fear of heights!”
Emma Tuazon also shared mixed feelings about the trip.
“I’m very, very excited, but I’m also scared because I love to climb and like to fly. I’ve always wanted to jump out of a plane or something, but I’m also scared because there are a lot of stories of people getting hurt, and it’s pretty scary,” Tuazon said.
