Some large companies spend millions of dollars to broadcast advertisements during one of the biggest sporting events in the world – the Super Bowl. According to CBS online, some businesses spent $7 million for a 30-second advertisement during the San Francisco 49ers v. Kansas City Chiefs game earlier this month. In turn, those companies hope to drastically increase their worth. Among the commercials this year, were a few fan favorites involving celebrities. Emerson resident, Staci Duffy, liked the Dunkin’ Donuts commercial because Ben Affleck was with all of his friends.
“I also thought his tracksuit was cool,” Duffy added. Her favorite commercial, however, was the State Farm insurance commercial with Arnold Schwarzenagger and Danny DeVito.
Football fan and Emerson resident, Tim Waples, shared his opinion.
“My favorite commercial was the Doritos Dinamita,” Waples said, “I liked it because the two people were named Dina and Mita and they were old making it even funnier.”
Some people enjoy watching these commercials as much as the football games itself because the ads are interesting and fun to watch.
