Ladies’ Night Out is an event where women gather to talk, eat dinner, and enter prize drawings. The event is organized by the PTA and helps raise money for activities at Villano School and Memorial School. Erin Amicucci, a fifth-grade math teacher, plans to attend the event.
“I am going because it’s always a fun event that the PTA puts on,” says Mrs. Amicucci. “I like that it supports the activities we have at Villano. I also hope to win a prize. The theme this year is The Great Gatsby. The book is set in the 1920s. There will be many prizes, including baskets from restaurants, tickets to sporting events and movies, teacher features, and more. The money raised helps support events like Field Day and school assemblies.”
Ladies’ Night Out will take place on March 18 at 6:30 p.m. The ticket price is $100. People who attend can enter drawings to win different prizes. Some prizes include gift baskets, a “principal for a day” experience for students, hotel stays in the Caribbean, and shopping sprees.
“I am going to this Ladies’ Night Out,” says Tracy Ciavaglia from the PTA. “I’m excited because the theme is The Great Gatsby. It’s one of my favorite books.”
Last year’s theme was Americana. Some prizes last year included vacations, pedicures, airline tickets, and other items. Members of the PTA and other guests attend the event each year.
