The holiday spirit was in full swing at Patrick M. Villano School, where students shopped, laughed, and found gifts for people on their list. The Emerson Elementary PTA sponsors the annual shopping event where students get the people they love the right gift.

“What I like about holiday shopping is finding funny things for your siblings or your parents and to find unique things to get that will make someone’s day,” Joshua Choe, a sixth-grader, said.

Gifts included decorative mugs, holiday pens or pencils. and small photo frames. There were also festive ornaments, socks, and magnets. The Holiday Shoppe took place on December 8, 2025. Students from all grades and classes went to the Learning Lab. Most items cost a few dollars. All the money raised from the Holiday Shoppe went back to the PTA. Louie Burke, a 6th grader, enjoyed choosing items at the shoppe.

“The thing I liked the most about the gift shop was how there were so many cool gifts and figures that seemed cool,” said Burke.

Burke liked that he could spent just a few dollars at the Holiday Shoppe to buy gifts for his family rather than spending more money at a store. PTA parents helped with the sale.
