An earth science circus rolled into Patrick M. Villano School last month with lessons on recycling and keeping the world clean. Acacia Fang, a fifth grader, loved The Grand Falloons, especially when the two-person show added comedy to make the learning fun.

“My favorite part was when the women kept interrupting the actor when he was singing,” Fang said. “I thought it was funny because when she kept interrupting and saying funny things, it got the actor very mad.”

Fifth-grade teacher Elisabeth Hill also enjoyed the show.

“I liked the visual of the spinning plates and when plastic is recycled, it does not get thrown out, instead the plastic goes back through the cycle.”

One part of the assembly showed how separating paper and plastic is helpful in the making of new items. The Grand Falloons reminded the audience how to properly dispose of waste rathert than burning it, covering it up or littering.
