David Kim, a third-grade student, was chosen to take part in the annual bus safety video at Patrick M. Villano School. He was excited for the part.

His face is familiar. Third-grade student David Kim stars in the district’s new bus safety video. Technology teacher Dennis Gordon asked Kim to play a role, and Kim was very excited to be in the video. Kim knows the importance of bus safety firsthand because he’s a bus student. He’s also experienced an actual bus drill first hand.

Q: How do you feel about safety?
A: You have to be safe, and safety is important. It’s important because if you’re not safe you could get really hurt.

Q: Have you ever been in an accident?
A: No, but I’ve seen one. I saw on YouTube police and a bus involved in an accident. I saw students exited the bus. I was thinking if I was on that bus I’d be really scared.

Q: What did you do in the video?
A: I was telling people you should be really safe, and listen to the bus driver. Safety is number one.

Q: If you are on a bus accident what would you do?
A: I would feel scared, and I would listen to the bus driver.
