Have you seen a new face in the music room? Well, that face belongs to Rayna Fox, the new music teacher at Patrick M. Villano school’s new music teacher. Fox has been teaching music for the past two years, but this is her first year in the Emerson Pubic School District.

“I chose to come to Emerson because I heard it was a great town, and when I met the students they were very respectful,” Fox said.

Fox teaches music to all students in Memorial and Villano Schools. She is also in charge of the Villano school chorus. One of her sixth grade students is Reed Martire.

“It’s nice having a new music teacher again and also pretty fun,” Martire said. ” I like how we play the ukuleles and how we really get to learn about them and overall I think she is a great music teacher.”

Fox is a fan of all types of music from country to 80’s music. Her favorite band of all time is Queen.

“I grew up loving music and did chorus and band, and I wanted to share that love for music just like I had when I was growing up,” Fox explained.

When fox isn’t teaching students, she uses her free time to work out and play with her puppy, Bobo. Bobo is a black labrador mix who she rescued from a shelter in Texas. Fox’s favorite thing about Emerson is the people and she also loves Shortrounds deli.
