Will Gibbons was a very young boy when he got his dog, Bonesy. The dog, a Maltese, was a suprise from his mother. Will was carrying Bonesy when all of a sudden, he just couldn’t hold him for another second.

“When I first got him, I dropped him on the heater, and he sprained his leg,” Willam Gibbons, a sixth grader, said.

Bonesy healed well, and now he’s eight years old. Will said he and Bonesy love to play with one another. Will is just one of several pet owners at Patrick M. Villano School willing to share a story about their pet.

Emanuel Fang, a fifth grader, has a pet turtle named Master Turtle. Master Turtle is a one-year-old red eared slider turtle. He’s greenish black in color and small in size. Fang said he found the turtle as a little baby on the side of the road. He brought him home because it was so small and helpless.

“My dad washed the tank, and then the turtle pooped in it,” Fang laughed.

Master Turtle is alive and well and living in Fang’s home to this day.
