Second nor’easter marches across area

Heavy, wet snow is blanketing the Emerson, NJ, area as the second nor-easter in a week blows through the region. According to local television weather forecasters, about 6 to 12-inches of snow is expected to fall before evening.

The Emerson Public School District issued automated phone calls about 6:30 last night closing schools for today. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency at 8 p.m. last night. He asked that people stay off the roads, according to one local news radio station.
