The Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks 125 to 108 and advanced to the NBA finals. Word of the Knicks’ loss in the Eastern Conference final game hit home hard.

”I want the New York Knicks because I live near the Knicks, and my family has been a fan of them for years,” Lucia DeSalvo previously said. The sixth-grader predicted days earlier that the Knicks would not win the series, however, because he said they’re not paying to their full potential. Nicholas Benvenuto is also a die-hard Knicks fan who correctly predicted the team’s conference loss.

“I like the New York Knicks because they are our home team since we live close to where the Knicks play,” Benvenuto said. “I unfortunately don’t think the Knicks will win … and even if they win, the Knicks are not beating the Oklahoma City Thunder [for the NBA title]. OKC will win,” stated Benvenuto.

Carter Ostroff has been a Knicks fan since he was four years old. His dad and uncle also rally around the team, and they all wanted the Knicks to win.

“To be honest, I have little faith in the Knicks … I don’t think they’ll be able to pull it off. I’m sorry, New York,” Ostroff said.
