The National Football League’s (NFL) draft picks were the hot topic during morning lineup at Patrick M. Villano School. The draft happened on April 24, 2025. Luke Timmerman a fifth grader, kept close tabs on the New York Giants, his favorite team.
“The draft was good for the Giants at least. I liked getting Abdul Carter. I think the defensive line will do really good with the new addition,” Timmerman said.
The New York Giants’ third pick was Carter from Penn State. Other picks included Jaxson Dart, Darius Alexander, Cam Skattebo, Marcus Mbow, Thomas Fidone II, and Korie Black, according to the NFL website.
Frankie Kozibroda, a fifth grader, likes the Buffalo Bills.
“I liked the picks, and I am very excited to see how these new additions will do in the 2025-2026 NFL season,” Kozibroda said.
According to the NFL website, here is a list of the draft picks: “The Buffalo Bills selected No. 30 overall CB Maxwell Hairston, Kentucky, 41st overall DT T.J. Sanders, South Carolina, 72nd overall DE Landon Jackson, Arkansas, 109th overall – DT Deone Walker, Kentucky, 170th overall DB Jordan Hancock, Ohio State, 173rd overall TE Jackson Hawes, Georgia Tech, 177th overall CB Dorian Strong, Virginia Tech, 206th overall T Chase Lundt, UConn, 240th overall WR Kaden Prather, Maryland.”
