The stage is set for the annual Holiday Concert performed by the chorus and bands of Patrick M. Villno School. The actual concert takes place at night on December 12, 2024, on the Emerson Junior-Senior High School stage. Earlier that same day, students perform a dress rehearsal for elementary school classmates. Lincoln Bahng, a sixth-grader, has been playing the alto saxophone for three years.
“I think that it is really fun to be in a band and be able to play in the concert,” Bahng said. “I chose the saxophone because I think it looks very cool, and it doesn’t look hard to play. I don’t think it is that hard after I got used to it.”
Bahng is in the symphonic band. The symphonic band is for musicians in 6th grade. He’s alsi in the jazz band where he plays a solo for 16 measures in the song “Who Let The Elves Out”.
