Reported drone sightings around New Jersey have caused quite the commotion among some people living in Emerson. One resident, Mary Rooney, said she’s seen something in the sky above her Orchard Avenue home that she can’t explain.
“I saw three drones aligned together above my home,” Rooney said. “I also believe these car-sized drones are run by extraterrestrials.”
Emerson Junior-Senior High School Science teacher, Deo Deoharrie, adds his opinion to the conversation.
“I think that the so-called drones are being tested by the U.S. Government for reasons unknown to ordinary Americans. I have no evidence whether these so-called drones are driven by or in any way controlled by extraterrestrials,” Deoharrie explained.
Although Deoharrie said he hasn’t seen any flying objects in the sky, he doesn’t totally dismiss the idea of highly evolved extraterrestrials.
“I have spent a lot of time viewing videos, reading about what people think, and doing my own deep thinking about whether extraterrestrials do exist. I want to believe that we are not alone in the multiverse and that they are other highly intelligent sentient life forms in existence. Also, I truly want them to exist!” Deoharrie added.
When it comes to drones, however, Deoharrie thinks it is “I do not think our government will allow hostile foreign governments to fly drones in our airspace without severe consequences,” Deoharrie said.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s website, “We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or public safety threat or have a foreign nexus. The FBI, DHS [Department of Homeland Security] and our federal partners, in close coordination with the New Jersey State Police, continue to deploy personnel and technology to investigate this situation and confirm whether the reported drone flights are actually drones or are instead manned aircraft or otherwise inaccurate sightings.”
Mike Murphy, a local school resource officer, said he’d like more transparency with the government.
“I don’t think these drones can be aliens,” Murphy said. “Also, I don’t think this is an attack from other countries.”
The FBI states on its website that it will continue to help investigate any reports.
“Historically, we have experienced cases of mistaken identity, where reported drones are, in fact, manned aircraft or facilities,” the FBI’s website continued. “We are supporting local law enforcement in New Jersey with numerous detection methods but have not corroborated any of the reported visual sightings with electronic detection. To the contrary, upon review of available imagery, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft, operating lawfully.”

My cousin has seen drones flying by her house, too.
