The season of giving and joy is finally here. Many people consider Christmas and Hanukkah the most wonderful time of the year. Students at Patrick M. Villano School looked forward to family getting together to celebrate, presents under the tree, and stockings filled up. The magic of this time of the year helps people think about how people can put more love into everything they do and how people can be more grateful for the things they have.
According to the website Kids Encyclopedia Facts, “Christmas is seen as a time for people of all ages to have fun together, for cousins to get to know each other, for grandparents to see their grandchildren and for the family to admire the babies that have been born during the year.”
Ryan Izzo, a sixth grader, spent some quality time at home. “I play videogames and spend time with my family during Christmas,” Izzo said. He wished he could stay up late playing video games with his friends.
“I stay at home and hang out with my family,” Dezi Guioleen Smith said. He looked forward to skiing with his family and “having a blast” over the winter recess.
