Fourth graders are settling into their new destination at Patrick M. Villano School, and they appear to be liking it. Nathan Grompone and Aarna Domadia both took advantage of a new activity – Student Congress. Both ran for classroom representative positions in their fourth grade homeroom.

“Also, we have the privileges of taking our chromebooks home,” they said. The district provides each student a Chromebook for academic use.

Grompone added, “I like how there are more recess options at Villano than Memorial, making us like Villano more.” There are basketball courts, box ball squares, and a gaga ball pit on the lower field for outdoor recess.

Kennedy Duffy, another fourth grader, also said the various options makes recess more fun.

“Something else that is awesome for Villano is we get free seating for lunch,” Duffy said. After the first few weeks of homeroom seating, fourth graders moved to open seating which means they can choose to sit with anyone in their grade level.
