Beloved fifth-grade Math teacher Elisabeth Hill just moved! She joined the sixth grade team on the second floor of Patrick M. Villano School. Hill is the cross-curricular teacher, a new position this year. She will teach some of the same students she had as a fifth grade instructor.

“I have taught third, fourth, fifth, and now sixth grade. I feel so lucky that I can spend another year with this group of kids, and I am loving that I can see you guys mature, and I’m exited to see them do something different,” Hill said.

Hill describes the move as an “amazing opportunity” to support each of the sixth grade teachers with their instruction. For example, this week Hill said she supported what students are learning in sixth grade Math two days and spend one day on a Science review.

“We’re also doing a book study of success skills for middle schoolers and learned a lot about ourselves via the first chapter about time management,” Hills said.

Lily Polvere, a former student of Hill’s, sang her praises.

“I really love that she is in the sixth grade now. She is so nice and thoughtful and always cares for others,” Polvere said.,

Hill is loving sixth grade so far and said she has fun teaching something that’s not only Math.
