School started on September 4 with a half day for students at Patrick M. Villano School. Some students may need tips on how to quickly get back into their old school routine. Principal Jessica Espinoza offered some advice on how to remember what’s needed for classes each day.

“Having a checklist in your room can help you not forget anything,” Espinoza said.

If you forget something, she said it’s a good idea to tell your teacher so he or she can help. Fifth grade teacher Breanne DeCarlo shared her advice for a creating a smooth student schedule that leaves time for completing homework.

“You should limit your distractions and do your homework as soon as you get home,” DeCarlo said. “You should also take a moment to refuel before starting your work.”

Teachers suggest taking a moment if a homework assignment seems hard, but they advise not giving up. Evenetually, the work can be done.
