Have you ever heard the quote, “May the force be with you?” It’s a line from the movie Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. This week is May 4 (fourth), and Star Wars lovers are going crazy. “May the fourth be with you,” is a fun phrase often used on this day because of that famous Star Wars line.

Christian Velez, a 6th grader said, is a Star Wars fan.

“My favorite Star Wars character is Darth Maul. Episode 1, The Phantom Menace is my favorite Star Wars movie, and the dual of the fates is my favorite event in the Star Wars movies,” Velez said.

Star Wars fans may choose to represent May 4 with a movie marathon among friends. Others may choose to dress in character or simply in a Star Wars shirt. Still others can do what Yoda suggests in Return of the Jedi: “Pass on what you have learned” by telling a friend, sibling, or parent about Star Wars.

“My favorite Star Wars character is probably Anakin Skywalker. My favorite movie is Revenge of the Sith, and my favorite event is when the Clones turn on the Jedi,” Adrian Filippelli, a fourth-grader, said.

“My favorite Star Wars movie is the second movie which is Star Wars, Attack of the Clones, and my favorite Star Wars character is Fox who is a clone trooper. My favorite Star Wars event is when the sentinel attack the clones,” Jackson Napole-DeFelice, a fifth grade student, said.

May the force, or the fourth, be with you.
