Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate all forms of motherhood and the sacrifices that most mothers make to help their children learn and grow. Donna Kaufman, an Emerson resident, shares what Mother’s Day means to her.
“I guess it means, it’s a chance to kind of stop and really think about what your mother means to you or what it means to be a mother, you know from either side. It’s just a day that you can sit back and think about the reality of the whole thing and appreciate how good things can be,” Kaufman shares.
Mother’s Day occurs on the second Sunday of May. This year it falls on May 12. Christine Bahng of Emerson lets us know how she celebrates Mother’s Day.
“I celebrate Mother’s Day by giving my mother flowers every year and also having a nice dinner, lunch, brunch, or whatever it is, together,” Bahng said.
