Whether is was a beautiful vacation out of this country or free time at home with family, most students at Patrick M. Villano School say their recent spring recess was wonderful.

“I’m [went] to England for spring break because just to see the beauty and to see an Arsenal game,” Luca Carvalho a fifth-grader said. Arsenal is a popular soccer team in England. This was Carvalho’s first time in England. His family also traveled to Ireland.

One travel website, Student City, that organizes trips for students says, “Catch up on much-needed rest: Exams, assignments, and extra work shifts can exhaust you. Spring break allows you to sleep in, nap, and restore yourself.”

Maddy Downing in sixth grade felt restored after her family visited Cancun, Mexico.

“I’m going down there for my dad’s birthday,” Downing explained. “I’m also going down there because my parents wanted to change it up this spring break.” This was Downings first vacation out of the United States.

Fifth grader Lincoln Bahng found relaxation at home. Family time was on his agenda.

“I’m staying home over spring break,” Bahng said. “I like staying home to relax and to recoup, and I sometimes go biking with mywitmy brother.”

Fifth graders Stefan Dib and Alex Lang also stayed home during spring recess. They both played Fornite inside and soccer outside with their friends.
