The New York Rangers are on a three game winning streak after beating the Oilers yesterday. The Rangers now have a record of 5 and 2. Kim Biggs, a fifth-grade teacher at Patrick M. Villano School, follows the New York Rangers.
“I am hopeful the Rangers will be great this season, and they will build on all of their success from last year,” Biggs said. “I feel like the team has SO many great players, and it seems like the new coach is already working well with them. I am hopeful they will at least make it to the playoffs, but my wish is always that they will win the Stanley Cup.”
Hockey playoffs go all the way to the Stanley Cup. The winning team keeps the Stanley Cup for the off season. The MVP Award goes to the hardest working player in the playoffs.
One of Biggs’ favorite players is Artemi Panarin because she loves his high kick celebration after big goals.
“The player that is going to surprise me the most is Alexis Lafrenyair,” Biggs said. She thinks this because she feels Lafrenyair has a lot of potential.
The NY Rangers became a team in 1926. Their last Stanley Cup win was in 1994.
