Emerson Jr.-Sr. High School presented Cinderella.

Once upon a time there was a group of Emerson High School students who left people feeling happily ever after. Those students performed in the school’s stage production of Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

“They all worked beautifully as a team to create the living work of art that over 700 audience members witnessed,” director Bill Ullman said.

Cinderella is about a young girl who is treated unfairly by her stepmother and stepsisters. When she goes to a ball hosted by the prince, everything changes. The play took place in March 2023.

“We rehearsed almost every day after school, just like a sport, from 3:30 – 5:30,” Ullman explained. “In January, we added Saturday rehearsals to that and then toward the middle of February we started rehearsing at night in order to do full run dress rehearsals with the crew and orchestra.”
