Superbowl Sunday

The Kansas City Chiefs took the win in a high-scoring Super Bowl LVII. The Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38 – 35. The game had students talking before kickoff on February 5, 2023.

“I want the Chiefs to win because the Chiefs play better than the Eagles,”  six-grader Gabby Dib said. “My favorite player from the Chiefs is Patrick Mahomes. I think in my opinion, he is the best team player and a good teammate. If Patrick Mahomes was  not in the Chiefs, I do not know if the Chiefs would have made it.”

Ella Viggiani, another sixth grade student, is also a Mahomes fan.

“I want the Chiefs to win because the Chiefs are a good team,” Viggiani said. “I like Partick Mahomes because he is a good player. He got 38 touchdowns this year.”

Fifth-grader Oliver Stutzel hopes the Eagles fly away with a win.

“I want the Eagles to win because I think that the Eagles are better than the Chiefs,” Stuzel said. “Jalen Hurts is the best player on the Eagles because he is able to grab a football and have a perfect pass.”
