Special run for a special cause

Members of the Emerson Police Department ran alongside some students from Patrick M. Villano School as part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR). According to LETR’s website, the run started 41 years ago in Kansas. The idea spread nationwide as a way to support the Special Olympics. It also gives police officers a chance to be active in the neighborhoods where they work.
