Members of the Patrick M. Villano School Symphonic Band recently played at an outdoor show.

An annual music event is back at Emerson Junior-Senior High School’s Homecoming football game. That’s when the Symphonic Band from Patrick M. Villano School plays with the high school Marching Band.

“I enjoyed this event,” Ella Comeau said.

Comeau is a fifth-grade Symphonic Band member who plays the clarinet. The Symphonic Bad performed songs such as “Ike” and “Hey, Song!” on Friday, October 22.

“My favorite part of this event was when we got to play together in the stands. I met some people in the Marching Band,” Comeau added.

Many Symphonic Band members seemed to enjoy playing in the stands. They got some treats from the snack bar during halftime and a few socialized with the Marching Band members.

“It was a fun event,” Andre Baruch said.

Baruch is the Instrumental Music Teacher at Patrick M. Villano.

“This event happens every year except last year because of the pandemic,” Baruch said.
