Emotional roller coaster

The book, Counting by 7s, is a good read for elementary school students. However, older students may like it, too, since some of the issues deal with fitting in and the main characters are teens.
I have recently read the book Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg. I thought it was a wonderful and truly meaningful book. The main character, Willow Chance, was in a really tough situation. Both her parents died in a car crash, but the book isn’t about the tragic accident. It’s about how Willlow deals with life afterward. She had many different interests but remained an outsider, partly because she was a true genius and very different than other children her age. Although she doesn’t have many friends, she treasures the few she does have and would do anything for them. Counting by 7s is so amazing. It will make you will feel happy, sad and many other emotions for Willow.
