Patrick M. Villano School teaches students in grades 3 through 6. Then, they move to Emerson Junior-Senior High School which teaches grades 7 to 12.

It’s hard to believe that just three years ago, I was scared to go to Patrick M. Villano School as a third grader. Now, I’m off to Emerson Junior-Senior High School. Time went so fast! I’m ready for a new school, new faces, and new experiences, but again I find myself nervous. It will be different. I won’t be in one classroom or hallway all day. I’ll be constantly moving. There are lockers. I’ll be in class with different people. There are pros and cons to EJSHS. Some pros: I will meet new people and make new friends. Since a lot of switching will happen, I may not have my close friends in all my classes. I will have to socialize more, meaning I will make new friends. Another pro is that I will grow to be more independent. I have to figure out when my homework is due and get it done on time. Some cons: since it is somewhat of a big school, I am scared of getting lost. Yes, it sounds funny, but it’s one of my fears. Another con is that since we will be getting lockers, I am scared of not being able to open my locker. It’s sad to leave Patrick M. Villano School. I’ve made so many great memories, but now it’s time to make new ones at EJSHS.
