Student runner places at national track event

Brianna Burrell proved that she’s among the fastest girls in the area. Burrell recently completed in the 46th Colgate Women’s Games. She came in second place in the 200 meter race with a time of 28.85 seconds. According to the competition’s website, “The Colgate Women’s Games is the nation’s largest amateur track series open to all girls from elementary school through college and beyond. Competitors participate in preliminary meets and a semi-finals to determine finalists who will compete for trophies and educational grants-in-aid from Colgate-Palmolive Company.”
