Growing a garden of kindness

Students and staff at Patrick M. Villano School recently celebrated others’ differences by painting unique, individual rocks. The rocks will be placed in a special garden on the school grounds. The rocks are colorful and show what students like or who they hope to become one day. A book about kindness called Only One You inspired speech teacher Linda Giovanni to create the rock garden. The book’s lesson is for people to show their differences and let their colors shine.
