The color red is in full bloom this Valentine’s Day. Aside from roses, red also symbolizes the feeling of love during the holiday.

Love was in the air at Patrick M. Villano School, and Valentine’s Day was the reason. Many students said Valentine’s Day is a fun time to celebrate with family and friends.

“Every Valentine’s Day, I go out to dinner and spend time with my family,” sixth-grader Mariana Ceylan said. “It’s time to recognize all the stuff my family has done for me.”

Many people like Ceylan have done similar things to celebrate this joyous occasion.

“I went out to dinner with my family,” sixth grader Riley Sorvino said.

Most students think it’s important to show their love for others on Valentine’s Day, whether those people are family or friends, especially if that is not done every day.
