New opportunity for hardworking third-grader
April 24, 2018
Third-grade student Tommy Monahan is a new face at Patrick M. Villano School. Monahan likes to play baseball and wrestle. He also likes to draw imaginary characters with pencil. Monahan recently talked about his involvement with The Villano View, the school’s new online newspaper.
Q: Why did you join The Villano View?
A: I like it. You get your own part to do. For example, you can be a photographer or videographer.
Q: Do you enjoy it so far?
A: Yes, because I enjoy the fun. I like using teamwork and the group activity. One person brainstorms, one person writes, and one person does something else.
Q: How is being on The Villano View helping with your writing?
A: It’s helping because I have others help me spell hard words.
Q: After school clubs weren’t offered at Memorial School, so how does it feel to belong to an after school club?
A: It feels good because you can help someone write something, and you can learn something new.

The Villano View is a great club to explore your creative and compassionate side while learning how to collaborate well. Thank you!

I think this post is special because I am also a third grader.
