Andre Baruch is an avid runner. On Sunday, September 25, he participated in the BMW Berlin Marathon in Germany.

What a run!

Andre Baruch, the band teacher at Patrick M. Villano, just returned from the Berlin Marathon in Berlin, Germany. This race is one of the most prestigious running events in the world and one of the six major marathons worldwide

“I was hurting towards the middle, but not too much,” Baruch shared. “When I ran under the Brandenburg Gate, I was amazed.”

Baruch said the gate was one of several landmarks he enjoyed seeing during his time in Gernamy. He won a shiny silver medal which he showed to the band students after he got back.

“It felt great to see Mr Baruch when he got back, and when I saw his score on the marathon, I was super proud of him!” Dylan Malec said. Malec is a sixth-grade band student who plays the flute.

The Berlin Marathon is one of the most popular running events in the world. It takes place every year on the last weekend of September. This year, there were well over 5,000 runners, Baruch.
