Falling in love with reading and writing

Megan Tuchler is on a mission.

“I came to [Patrick M.] Villano School because I love reading and writing. I came here to help students and fall in love with reading and writing!” Tuchler said.

Tuchler is the new sixth grade Language Arts teacher.  She has five years experience as a reading and writing teacher. Tuchler graduated with her teaching certificate from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

“I think that she is a great teacher and that she is very good at getting her lessons across,” Cora Kahofer, a sixth-grader, said. “I like the assigned reading books, and it’s fun doing the Post-its.”

Post-its are a place for students to stop and jot their thinking while reading.

“Overall, Partick M. Villano School  has been an amazing experience. All the students and teachers have been very friendly to a newcomer teacher,” Tuchler said.
