Some families enjoy vacationing on cruise ships.

A majority of teachers and students across the Emerson Public School District are excited for Spring Break. Schools are closed from Monday, April 11, through Monday, April 18. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 19.

“I’m going to Liberty Science Center with my family for my birthday,” said fifth-grade teacher Melinda Starc-Jacoby.

Many students and staff members are spending the break with their families.

“I am going to Orlando, Florida,” said fifth-grader Joseph Kim.

Orlando, Florida is one of the top spring break areas in the entire United States according to one online source.

“I am taking a cruise to Bermuda,” said Jordan Ostroff, a seventh grader in Emerson.

Bermuda is located in the northwest Atlantic Ocean. Cruises are also a popular way for families to enjoy the vacation.

Fifth-grader Sydney Nepola-DeFelice is looking forward to the time off. She spoke with podcasters Ryan Neuschwanter and Connor Terizan about her Spring Break plans:
