Laughing with family over good food is a favorite holiday tradition among students at Patrick M. Villano School.

The winter holiday season is here. Many students and staff members at Patrick M. Villano School use this time to reflect on what matters most. Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa all bring family and friends together.

“I am very excited to see my grandparents on Christmas after I haven’t seen them since summer break,” Justin Giella, a fifth grader, said.

When the holiday season comes around many children and adults are excited for many reasons. Some are excited for gifts and presents, while others are happy to see distant-family and friends. Others like the food and treats and enjoy family traditions.

“My favorite holiday is Christmas eve because we get together. We get to eat food, and try new recipes for my family meals,” Rosey Schaefer said.

Fellow fifth-grader Daniella Beahm agrees that family and food is most fun.

“My favorite holiday is Christmas because I like spending time with my family,” said Beahm. “I like getting gifts and giving gifts. I like cooking and making food with my family, and trying new recipes, and having fun.”
