Students appreciate grade-level Halloween party
November 1, 2018
Halloween was happy for many sixth graders at Patrick M. Villano School. In sixth grade, all holiday celebrations take place in the gym with everyone from the grade level. This is a special treat for the sixth graders. At this year’s Halloweem party, students spent time with friends, enjoyed delicious food and played fun games. The mummy wrapping contest was a favorite again this year. That’s a challenge to see who can cover their partner the most with toilet paper.
“My favorite part was spending time with my friends.” said Brielle Rush of the grade-level party.
Many students, such as Rush, had a wonderful time with friends. Spending the afternoon party together also gave students a chance to see their peers’ costumes. Alyssa Gabriele mentioned one costume that caught her eye.
“My favorite costume was the AWESOME shark costume,” Gabrielle said of fellow sixth-grader Amelia Teigen. Teigen dressed head to toe in a shark costume.
Students wore many colorful and unique costumes. One group of girls dressed together as different flavored candies such as Airheads and Ring Pops. Another creative idea included a pair of friends dressed as Lilo and Stitch.
