A bird that doesn’t fly?

The kakapo of New Zealand is the only parrot that cannot fly. According to several animal websites, the kakapo is nocturnal but sometimes wakes up at sunset. It has whiskers, so it can feel its way through the dark. The kakapo, an endangered species, weighs about eight and a half pounds. It eats fruit in trees. Some kakapos live to be 100 years old.
