Where are you headed for summer vacation?

June 1, 2018

Students and teachers at Patrick M. Villano School are so excited for the upcoming summer break. How are you going to spend your summer break? Some people said the best way to spend summer break  is with their family.

“I’m excited for this summer because I’m going to Italy for the first time with my family,” third grade teacher Michelle Pierce said.

“I’m going to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and I am going to hang out with my kids, and do all the things I love,” fifth grade math teacher Liz Hill said.

No matter where students and teachers are headed this summer, they agreed that having fun is the main idea. Some people stayed in the state, while others left the country. Some people last year did some really cool things which they plan to do again this year.

“I am going to the Outer Banks. I’m going there because I loved it when my family went last year,” fourth grader Isabella Monchino said.

Other people also like to play, surf or swim at the beach. There are beaches all over New Jersey. Even for those people leaving the country, there are still beaches, like in Croatia.

“I’m going to Croatia and Italy in August. I am Croatian, and I have never been to Italy before,”  sixth grade Language Arts teacher Brianna Peros said.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

“I’m going nowhere this summer because I am having a baby this summer. I have a lot of mixed emotions,” sixth grade Language Arts teacher Kate Cremonese said.

Some people plan to stay close to home. They say they’ll have a great time just sitting on a lounge chair at the pool.

“I’m going to relax by my backyard pool,”  school secretary Christine Duffy said.

“I’m going to stay in the Jersey Shore for a week and relax,” secretary Jackie Santalla said.

“This summer I want to spend one week with my family. Maybe take some day trips. Twelve of my husbands brothers and sisters are coming over to our place, so we are staying home for another week,” Principal Jessica Espinoza said. “It will be a fun visit. I love the beach and love my family. When we go to the shore, since my brother in Texas has three kids we are going to rent a house together. It will be filled with the unexpected.”
