Fornite is popular among students at Patrick M. Villano School. Players fly onto the scene from an airborne bus. The object of the game is to be the last player standing.

Fortnite … the most played video game in a year. The game that has more than 40 million children and teens – and even more adults – playing it. That’s according to an online article from Financial Review. Fornite is a video game which is popular among students at Patrick M. Villano School. The object of the game is to be the last player standing. Almost no one knows that the game is targeted for ages 13 and up, but some and 6-year-olds are playing it. People should just limit their time on this game because it is ruining the social life of kids and adults. Instead, of swimming in a pool, playing in a park or riding a bike these people are sitting in front of a screen. Now, with the new, warm weather it’s a perfect time to go outside.

Charlie Caiola, a 5th grader, said he would shut off his Xbox to see his friend because it’s the nice thing to do.

So, Fortnite players .. . would you rather play with your best friend outside on a Friday afternoon or play Fortnite with a “friend” you don’t even know whom you just met?

Jonathan Mathews, another 5th grade student, said the total opposite. “ I would tell my friend to go back to where he came from and to leave me alone! I’m playing Fortnite!” Mathews said.

On some devices such as like the XBox One or 360, players can add “friends” who are really strangers. These “friends” might give false information, lie about their ages or make you slip your address out. These could lead to bad consequences.

A lot of people think that Fortnite should be banned. Others think that Fortnite should be an important part of their life. What do you think?
