Flowers, such as daffodils, bloom in the spring, and boast vibrant colors.

Sunny. Warm. Breezy. Spring arrived on March 20, and students at Patrick M. Villano School couldn’t be happier. Fourth grader Philip Gianatasio loves the change in weather.

“What I love about springtime is that you can really play almost any sport you want. Usually, it’s between 60 and 70 degrees which is perfect weather, and I think it’s a great time because I get to play with my friends outside, like basketball and go to the park,” Gianatasio said.

More sunshine and longer days are hallmarks of spring.  Rainy days can dampen spirits, but not for long, according to fourth  grader Joanne Jacob.

“My favorite thing to do in spring is playing outside because I get to have fun with my brother,” Jacob said. “Another reason is after winter I was able to go outside because in the winter you get all locked up.”

Fourth grader Giana Kim is excited to relax during spring break which is from Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19. Meantime, fourth grader Samantha Brenner is excited to do spring cleaning.

“I’m excited to clean my room and closet,” Brenner said.”I would like to go on my scooter or bike. I also would like to jump rope outside.”
