Heritage Day

Third graders at Patrick M. Villano School participated in the annual Heritage Day celebration for family and friends. The evening event wrapped up a unit of study on one’s personal background. It included dances, food and songs from one’s ancestry. After introducing each student and his or her heritage by country, the grade sang “This Land is Your Land”. The event took place at the Emerson Junior-Senior High School. Earlier in the day, students practiced in front of their elementary school peers.
